Our Story

About Accents & Space

At Accents & Space, our story starts at home.

I’m Jackie, a mum of two, including a neurodivergent child with physical disabilities. Like many families, I realised that the way we lived wasn’t supported by the spaces we lived in.

Traditional organising advice felt rigid and unrealistic. It didn’t consider sensory needs, executive functioning, or how families actually move through their day, and for us, it often made things harder.

What we needed wasn’t perfection.
We needed clarity, flexibility, and systems that worked for our real life.

Accents & Space was created from that lived experience. I support families and individuals who feel overwhelmed at home to create spaces and systems that truly work for their needs, routines and capacity, in a neuroaffirming and neuroinclusive way.

Why I Do This

I help to reduce overwhelm at home and feel more supported by their space, especially those navigating sensory needs, burnout, life transitions or the day-to-day challenges that make home life feel hard.

My work focuses on creating calmer, easier-to-manage spaces using a practical, lived-experience approach. This isn’t about perfect homes or aesthetic organising. It’s about systems that bring relief, make life smoother, and help you feel more in control.

Who I Support

My home organising services are designed for:

  • Families with neurodivergent needs.
  • Parents of children with additional or complex needs.
  • Anyone who feels overwhelmed by clutter or disorganisation.
  • Adults navigating burnout, chronic fatigue, recovery or life changes.
  • People who want a calmer, easier-to-manage home.

How I Work

I take a personalised and collaborative approach. Whether you want help with one room or your whole home, I listen, observe and create systems that match your real routines, energy levels and capacity, not an idealised version of your life.

My home organising services include:

  • Decluttering and home organisation.
  • Support during life transitions such as parenthood, grief, burnout, recovery or downsizing.
  • Room resets for kitchens, wardrobes, children’s rooms, playrooms and home offices.
  • Sensory-aware adjustments to reduce visual and physical overload.
  • Layout planning to make spaces easier to use and maintain

Virtual support is available across the UK. Please reach out for more information.

Where I Work

I am based in Berkshire and support clients across Berkshire, West London and Surrey.

If you are not local to these areas,  I offer virtual support, and can sometimes travel for in-person services depending on distance.  Please get in touch to check availability.

Beyond the Bottom Line: Social Impact

Social Impact Mission

The Social Impact Mission

At Accents & Space, the work goes far beyond home organising. This is a mission-led, socially conscious business shaped by lived experience and a deep understanding of how home environments influence wellbeing, especially for neurodivergent individuals and the people who care for them.

My long-term vision is to grow Accents & Space into a social enterprise that creates lasting, practical change for families who are often overlooked or priced out of support.

Why it matters

Many neurodivergent people, both adults and children, experience heightened stress, sensory overload or executive functioning challenges at home. For caregivers, this can lead to burnout, clutter and daily environments that feel hard to manage.

Traditional organising services often focus on aesthetics or one-size-fits-all systems. They seldom consider how spaces feel or whether they work for different minds and different needs.

Accents & Space takes a different approach.
I offer thoughtful, flexible, lived-experience-led organising and decluttering support that centres empathy and practicality, not perfection. The goal is to create sustainable systems that work in real life, not just in photos.

Areas of Social Contribution

  • Access and Equity
I aim to make support more accessible. As the business grows, partnerships and future high-margin offerings will allow me to provide subsidised home organising and decluttering services to low-income families who need it most.

  • Mental Health and Wellbeing
I help create spaces that reduce overwhelm and support regulation for children, adults and caregivers. Clearer, more organised homes make daily life feel lighter and more manageable.

  • Community Connection
Future plans include local Coffee Connect groups, online workshops led by qualified professionals and a trusted signposting directory. These spaces will offer community, peer support and easier access to reliable resources.

  • Sustainable Change
This work goes beyond tidying a room. Through optional support sessions, gentle follow-ups and personalised aftercare, I help embed long-term systems that support daily function and flow without added pressure.

Creating Homes That Support Neurodivergent Living

By transforming everyday spaces into environments that work with neurodivergent needs, Accents and Space promotes autonomy, dignity and emotional wellbeing. Whether you are navigating a new diagnosis, moving through a life transition or simply trying to reduce daily overwhelm, my aim is to help you feel supported in your home again.
