Our Story

About Accents & Space

At Accents & Space, our story starts at home.

I’m Jackie—a mother of two, including a neurodivergent child with physical disabilities. Like many families, I found that the way we lived wasn’t supported by the spaces we lived in.  Traditional organising advice didn’t work for us—it was rigid, unrealistic, and often made things worse.

What we needed wasn’t perfection!

We needed clarity, flexibility, and systems that respected how our family actually functioned, especially while managing sensory needs, executive function challenges, and day-to-day overwhelm.

That personal experience led me to create Accents & Space: a flexible, inclusive, lived-experience-led provider of home organizing services for overwhelmed families looking to declutter their homes and design spaces that truly work for their routines and needs.

Why We Exist

We help individuals and families—especially those navigating neurodivergence, declutter their homes, reduce overwhelm, and design spaces that feel safe, manageable, and restorative.

From sensory-friendly design to supportive styling, we create home environments that honour your energy, routines, and emotional needs.

This isn’t just about organising drawers. It’s about reclaiming your space—and your peace!

Beyond the Bottom Line: Social Impact

Our Social Impact Mission

Our Story

At Accents & Space, we go beyond home organization and styling. We’re building a mission-led, socially conscious business that recognises the deep connection between home environments, neurodivergent wellbeing, and caregiver burnout. Our long-term goal is to evolve into a fully-fledged social enterprise, using our services to create lasting change in the lives of individuals and families who need it most.

Why it matters

Many neurodivergent people—both adults and children—experience heightened stress, sensory overload, or executive functioning challenges in their day-to-day environments. For their caregivers, this often means navigating burnout, clutter, and a home that doesn’t support the daily rhythm of life.

While most traditional organising services focus on aesthetics or one-size-fits-all systems, they often fail to consider how those spaces feel and function for neurodivergent minds. At Accents & Space, we do things differently.

We offer neurodivergent-friendly organising and decluttering services that are thoughtful, flexible, and grounded in lived experience. Our approach centres empathy and practicality -creating sustainable systems that work in real life, not just on Instagram.

Our Areas of Social Contribution

  • Access & Equity
We aim to make our services accessible. By offering high-margin staging services and building future partnerships, we’re working toward providing subsidised home organisation and decluttering support to low-income families who need it most.

  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
We create spaces that reduce overwhelm, support regulation and promote clarity—for both neurodivergent individuals and their families. Calm homes support calm minds.

  • Community Connection
Our future plans include local Coffee Connect groups, therapist-led online workshops, and a curated signposting directory. These resources are designed to foster peer support, community-building, and easier access to trusted professionals.

  • Sustainable Change
We go beyond tidy rooms. Through optional coaching, follow-ups, and personalised aftercare, we help embed long-term systems that support daily function and flow, without added stress.

Creating Homes That Support Neurodivergent Living

By transforming everyday spaces into environments that work with neurodivergent needs, not against them, Accents & Space promotes autonomy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing. Whether navigating a new diagnosis, managing a life transition, or simply trying to reduce daily overwhelm, we’re here to help our clients regain their space and feel at home again.
